COMIC-6100: Comics Workshop 1: Visual Storytelling
Course Description
The study of comics is an exploration of the medium's many forms: comic books, graphic novels, manga, bandes dessinees, sequential art, web comics, and related graphic texts, which may or may not be primarily narrative. The course is formatted as an interdisciplinary workshop, but will also examine the evolution, subject matter, form, conventions, possibilities, and future of the comic book medium through assigned readings as well as independent and collaborative comic projects.
