GAMES-2300: Interactive Storytelling

Course Description

Interactive Storytelling is a studio focused on the creation of narrative, narrative design, story, story design, character, and worldbuilding within games and play. Students will explore the theoretical and practical dimensions of creating narratives in time-based interactive media, within digital, virtual and real game environments. Over the semester, the course will apply theories of classical narrative and interactivity to a series of projects designed to introduce students to the opportunities and specificities of telling stories interactively across a multiplicity of 3D, 4D, hybrid and experimental game mediums.
