Description:
One of the most important aspects of your studio practice during the second year of your MFA degree is the refinement of your critical and objective abilities to assess, describe and give a voice to your work. In this program, this process is focused in the fall semester through the writing of your thesis. Your thesis advisor will work with you intensively both in class and in individual meetings to help you write clearly and eloquently, creating a substantial piece of writing about the meaning of your work, incorporating some form of artistic research, both within and outside of the context of the art world. Your goal is to complete the thesis by the end of the fall semester.
