Description:
Literature of the Global Majority is a literary survey course intended for first-year Writing and Literature Majors and Minors covering written and oral literary history from global majority peoples, written in or translated into English, originating from either the southern hemisphere or the USA. Students will learn to identify how texts engage with diverse and global worldviews, values, and histories, including colonialism, migration, and political systems. WRLIT majors may take Literature of the Global Majority in place of Introduction to the Arts.
